Hermès Boutique Paris
For the Hermès boutique in Paris, Morandistudio handcrafted bespoke ultra-thin ceramic tiles in a variety of formats, each individually hand-painted to achieve a unique artisanal finish.
Developed in collaboration with Kengo Kuma, the project also involved the creation of precision waterjet-cut metal sheets onto which the ceramic tiles were bonded in a sandwich construction.
This bespoke system gave the architectural screens a refined semi-transparent effect, creating the illusion of seeing through the partitions while combining technical innovation with exceptional craftsmanship.
