Explora
Aboard Explora I and II, Morandistudio created gres porcelain mosaic surfaces shaped through waterjet cutting, designed to bring a contemporary elegance to the ships' interiors.
Bespoke compositions and precise detailing ensured the surfaces integrated seamlessly into the onboard architecture. Specifically for vessel Explora III, we developed a custom linear gres porcelain mosaic in blue and brown, featuring individually hand-painted pieces in different shapes so to marry the architect's project. Additionally, we manufactured a specialized low-thickness mosaic engineered to perfectly match the technical requirements and color palette for the jacuzzis in the same area.
Furthermore, our development included 2.5x2.5 cm and 5x10 cm anti-slip, stone-effect mosaics for the vertical cladding of the indoor Jacuzzis' exterior walls and the indoor pool deck area.
